Tungsten carbide particles are applied directly into the molten puddle of a weld bead. When the bead cools the resulting weld deposit contains large volumes of tungsten carbide particles. These extremely hard and wear-resistant particles protect blades and wear parts from premature wear in many challenging applications.
VBL™ Tungsten Carbide Embedding can be added to most parts with the exception of High Carbon blades. Standard patterns as well as custom designs are available to suit any requirement.
VBL heat treated parts are warranted against breakage throughout the useable life of the part.
